Mark your calendar for the 32nd Alaska Society for Technology in Education's annual conference!

It's that time again as we are busily readying ourselves for the new school year and the next opportunity to provide Alaska's premiere educational technology experience.

ASTE 2012: Create ~ Collaborate ~ Innovate will take place on Saturday, February 25 through Tuesday, February 28 at the Hotel Captain Cook in downtown Anchorage. ASTE activities will include four days of hands-on workshop sessions, hour long sessions and conference activities. Registration for the conference will begin once our conference sessions are filled with presenters, so please check www.aste.org for additional details as they are posted.

Call for Presenters

Do you know a great tech tip, tool or technique? We want YOU to present at ASTE 2012. To submit your proposal, sign in to your account on the ASTE web site (http://www.aste.org/) through the link at the top of the page. If you do not yet have an ASTE account, click on the Call for Presenters link to create one, then log into your account to submit your proposal.

Share your expertise, and attend the conference on us. Present a 3-hour hands-on conference workshop, and receive a one-day complimentary registration to ASTE 2012. Present a 6-hour hands-on conference workshop, and earn a full complimentary registration to ASTE 2012. That's a $200 value!

International Call for Papers

The ASTE 2012 Conference is an international forum where leading researchers and clinicians join to support technology in education and enjoy an opportunity to collaborate with fellow leaders. Original papers pertaining to technology in education with an accompanying multimedia presentation are being solicited for presentation at ASTE 2012.

Categories: Teacher Training Models, Rural Applications, Innovative Leadership, Online Professional Development, and Achieving the NETS.

Primary consideration will be given to work that provides insight into the evolving nature of technology and education that can translate to classroom applications. Submissions will be reviewed by a program committee of three peers.

Please email papers with biographical data and demo descriptions to christa.bruce@aste.org by Monday, January 30, 2012.
