Distance Education (SIG DE): Using technology to connect us for learning
SIG DE fosters the discovery and utilization of some of the most effective technologies for facilitating student learning online. Whether instructors are designing a distance or hybrid course or are considering the use of online applications within a traditional classroom setting, SIG DE endorsed sessions explore tools that enable instructors to create meaningful online learning environments.
In addition, the Now Considering… informal conversations will provide a venue in which like-minded educators can connect, as well as a mechanism for further reflection on ideas and issues surrounding K-20 Distance Education in Alaska. Continued discussion and news about SIG DE can be found on Twitter using #astesigde.
