The Rules
Submissions must be received by Feb 13th, 2009 @ midnight AST to the ASTE.org website.
- You can enhance the photo (like auto-enhance) using digital tools.
- Entries are limited to 5 per person.
- You be an ASTE member to submit photos, or be sponsored by an ASTE member.
- Must be your own orginal works.
- All photos must be G rated.
- Photos thought to be outside of the above criteria may be removed from consideration without the entrant being notified.
- The entries will be made available for viewing on first day of the ASTE Conference, and prizes will be handed out onsite atthe conference.
- All photos entered will be evaluated by a panel of at least four judges. Of the judges, none are professional photographers nor are they trained in the ways of artistic presentation or composition. Each judge will simply select the photos that strike them most for whatever reason.
Note: ASTE reserves the right to use your photo on their website.
Each photo should include
- The photographer's name.
- The photographer's category.
- The photographer's address.
- Title for the shot.
- The photographer's occupation (i.e. teacher, student, avid photographer).
- Any additional details about the photo you care to share.
To Enter
Submit via aste.org website or send full sized .jpg or .png files to Sam McPhetres.
Notes regarding electronic submissions:
- Upload the highest quality image possible. It is much easier to make an image smaller than it is to make it bigger and we'd hate for the quality of anyone's image to affect the judging.
- Do not watermark, add decorative borders or place any other distinguishing marks (i.e. name, copyright) on the image.
- Because the judging is an anonymous affair, an image cannot possess identifiable information.
- Zipped or compressed (i.e. zip, dmg, rar, etc.) files will not be accepted. straight image files only please.
Entries which do not conform to the entry guidelines or fail to provide the requested information (i.e. category, name, address) may be removed from consideration.
