David has been an educator in public schools for the past 14 years. He has been a classroom science teacher, a district-wide instructional technologist, a curriculum technologist for the Alaska Native Education Program, and an information technology director.
David is married to his college sweetheart, is the father of three young children, and resides in a log home in Salcha, Alaska. In his spare time David enjoys programming web applications (see: aste.org, wildalaska.com, and examprofessor.com).
In 2007 David coordinated the largest 1:1 laptop initiative in the state of Alaska while working for the North Slope Borough School District. Currently David teaches computers, coaches track and field, and enjoys working directly with students at North Pole Middle School.
David is honored to serve as the President for ASTE, and loves to work with students, parents, teachers, and administrators to effectively integrate technology into the classroom.
