ASTE21 – is just a distant memory… but hold on…. it’s still available!!!

“ASTE21 GoGLobal” ended a month ago today. But all the learning and inspiration is still available.

Did you miss a session? Or did you see one so good that you need to refresh your memory and watch again?
Don’t worry! All our content; keynotes, events, and sessions, are still available for viewing on-demand. Log-in to the “Go to My Event button” below and browse sessions to access recordings.**Recorded sessions are available until April 30th, 2021*

Do you need a record of what you saw?

Check your email. We have sent you an email with a link to your participation record. This will continue to update as you watch more sessions, so if you need a new record after April 30th just send us an email and we will get that to you.

See what others are saying about ASTE’s recorded sessions:

“ASTE is my favorite conference of the year and though I am sorry we are not in person this year and I miss the camaraderie, I see so much good in being able to see recorded sessions.” – Kesslyn Tench
“There is always an hour that doesn’t have much that’s applicable to me and then another hour that has 3 sessions I’d like to attend at once. I hope they continue recording sessions so that I can go back and watch them later” – Paula Berg
“The Book Creator session was very valuable, and fun to see all the examples that were shared.
The presenter, Cheryl Bobo, works all over the state, so her examples and perspective covered a wide range of schools and grades.  Book Creator can only be called robust.  So many features that make it easy to make beautiful creations of all ages.  Cheryl had a book setup during the session for us to make “About you” pages.  So easy to add text, images, links, etc.  Book Creator is free for one library.  Cheryl gives ideas on how to manage one library with multiple projects.  There are also paid accounts.
Books can be downloaded, printed, shared online – really any way that you want to share.
The video is well worth watching.  Cheryl has links clearly displayed in the video and you can still get on the program and try out the About Us book she set up for ASTE.
I was particularly interested in using Book Creator as an easy way for students or teachers to create books to publish in Overdrive.  If your school or district has an Overdrive account you can post “Local Content” at no cost.  Then these books can be checked out by anyone using the Sora app just like any other published book.  This gives students a very authentic purpose for contributing to their work, while still in a safe community.” – Robin Turk

 What happens next?

ASTE now begins to look forward to the next year, many changes are occurring, as we navigate returning to in-person and remembering the things we learned in 2021. We start with several new ASTE board members, and a new Executive Director.  Susan Steele, from the Mat-Su area, will be taking on the job of ASTE Executive Director.  I proudly pass the baton to her as we begin our planning for ASTE 2022!
Hopefully, an in-person event.

Thank you for being a part of this amazing ASTE21 Conference year.
Eugenia Siedler – Executive Director
