ASTE’s Just Around the Corner!

So you’ve signed up for the conference. Great!! (And if you haven’t, there’s still time~) But you may be asking yourself: Okay, so, what now?

I’m so glad you asked!

There’s actually a number of things you may want to check off your list before before heading to the conference (which is just a month away! It’s time to get HYPE).

AWARDS: There’s still time to get your Leadership award nominations in!  Each year ASTE requests nominations from our membership of students and education professionals who set the bar for the rest of us.  Let us know about the people who demonstrate true technology integration and innovative teaching and learning in Alaska.  Nominations due January 27!

ELECTIONS: Voting for the 2018 board is happening right now and is open until January 26.  Get in your vote, and start thinking about if 2019 might be the year YOU decide to run for the board~

IDIDACONTEST: There’s still time to work on your creative entries and get them in!  Contest deadline is 11:59 pm January 31; make sure your class/school/district/region is represented!

REGISTRATION: While attendees can register for ASTE up to and during the conference, it’s always nice to register early and save a few dollars. Registration costs go up on January 24, so nudge your neighbor and get the word out and we’ll see you here mid February!

MICROSOFT: Microsoft is offering a FREE Pre-conference event on Friday, February 16 at the Alaska Communications Business Technology Center.  This session introduces Microsoft Teams and a walk through of its features and functionality to bring communication, collaboration and access to content all in one digital hub.  Register here!

Thanks for everything YOU do to make us a stellar conference!  See you in a month!!!
