For over 20 years Cheryl has been an avid ASTE supporter, presenter, and past board member. She returns this year as a Partnership Chair. Her long-time passion for education and technology encompasses a long career, including teaching in k-12 classrooms, being a Technology Director, Apple Professional Development Specialist, and Integrated curriculum. developer, grant writer, and Code.org Regional Manager. Alaska. She has received Teacher of the Year in two different districts, ASTE Technology Leader of the Year and ASTE Making IT. Happen Award. Her experience living off the grid in the interior and southeast Alaska led to her love of the subsistence lifestyle. Her technology experience plays a serious role in piloting the family’s commercial fishing vessel. She has retired three times and just can’t stay out of the technology arena and glad to be working the ASTE and ASTE attendees this year.
