DEED Representative
Faye Tanner joined the Department of Education and Early Development as the Statewide Coding and Computer Science Career Coordinator in August 2022. She worked in various companies in the computer industry focusing on both hardware and software development. Faye believes in computer science education at any age. She taught Computer Science in postsecondary education systems including University of Alaska. She also held STEM classes to K-12 students in public and homeschool settings. She is eager to work with all teachers, administrators, industry leaders, and Computer Science education enthusiasts to continue pushing forward the expanding K-12 Computer Science education in Alaska!
