Kristina Cassidy

Southcentral Representative

Kristina Cassidy has been promoting technology in education since she began teaching in 2017. She introduced her school to code.org, taught Coding clubs including Girls Who Code, started Lego Robotics as a club at her school and 3D printing in her own classroom. She has encouraged other teachers in her building to embrace teaching technology and looks for ways to support others in that endeavor. Through her encouragement, the other middle school teacher in her building decided to embrace getting a 3D printer for her classroom as well. She finds ways to teach students to not just be consumers, but producers of technology and is focused on digital citizenship and safety within the classroom. Ms. Cassidy holds a Bachelor’s degree in teaching, Master’s degree in Education Technology, and is pursuing her Doctorate in Education Technology.
